USA: Cupertino plant under pressure to reduce noise

The Lehigh Southwest Cupertino cement plant was noise tested for 25 days in October and only recorded one day with higher readings than expected. The results were shared during a city council meeting on 24 Jan. Plans to construct four cement and concrete plants near the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London have caused outrage among local residents. If the plans are to go through, more than 900 HGV movements would go in and out of the site daily.
